Projection Time is a website designed to compete with other seat projection models for Canadian elections. Eric Grenier, who runs wonderful website, ThreeHundredEight, is the inspiration for this website.

The seat projection methodology used is a proprietary equation that has to do with a runner up party’s distance from the winner. This model includes an incumbency advantage. Just like ThreeHundredEight, this model’s predictive value is determined by the quality of the polls fed into it. Unlike ThreeHundredEight, the polls will not be combined, save for a final projection before the election. The seat projection relies on regional data to account for regional nuance. This model does not predict the outcome in any given riding, but it gives a ballpark estimate of what one could expect.
